Galvanized: Once the prevailing norm until the 1980s, galvanized gutters were favored for their malleability and ease of installation by sheet metal workers. However, they were susceptible to corrosion and decay over time.
Aluminum: The current industry standard for gutter materials. Aluminum gutters are known for their strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. They can be easily formed (rolled) using a gutter machine right at the job site.
